A Showcase of Independent Artists

Event Format: The event will be hosted by celebrity singer and X-factor runner up, Carly Rose Sonenclar. The event will include a “meet and greet” with Carly, a short introduction of Sound Affects by founder, Dr. Mona Jhaveri, and a performance lineup of three selected musical artists who represent the winners of our “crowdfunding challenge.”

Crowdfunding Challenge: To be considered as a featured artist for Music Beats Cancer, artists must: 1) Opt into our “Crowdfunding Challenge” through the Sign Up button below and 2) Raise a minimum of $1000 on our crowdfunding portal. The top three artist who have raised the most funds in support of our new breast cancer campaign, will be considered the winners and will be selected to perform at Music Beats Cancer. For those artists who raised $1000 but were not selected to perform, Sound Affects will include them in all media coverage during and post the event.

Bonus: First place artist fundraiser gets a meeting with an A&R Senior Executive at Republic Records.  This is a huge opportunity!!!

Performances: Selected artists will be introduced on stage by Carly Rose Sonenclar and will perform two songs each using acoustic instruments or track music.

Promotion: Sound Affects will promote the event through its social media, through email campaigns and through the collective social media platforms of our host and sponsors: Microsoft, Guitar Center and Republic Records.

Media Outreach: Sound Affects will send out a press release one week prior to the event and will invite its press partners to attend, cover and promote the event. A step and repeat will be on site for photographs branded for the event.

Audience: Sound Affects appeals to an audience that avidly listens to music, lives online and likes to do “good” in the world. Sound Affects expects our audience will be comprised of our invited guests, the invited press, fans of our host and performing artists as well as foot traffic through the Mall and the Microsoft Store.

Conditions: This opportunity is not available for artists who performed at the event prior (June 29). Artists who opt into this Challenge but who do not raise any funds by September 10, will be removed from the leader board.
